Hi all, I am new here, I have a 1.4i Citi and I want to improve everything about it but over time because I am in university with little to now income.
I have been checking every option and originally, I wanted to do any 2l swap, but I got a quote from 8v, and they said 65k for an N/A 2l 8v or 20v.
Then I looked at a 1.8i swap N/A but I have been struggling to find one that looks slightly trustworthy but still up on my preference list.
Now I am looking at upping my current 1.4i but I don't even know if it is an mp9 or mpi or anything else it could be, I have looked at cams and I can't decide between the many different ones there are, I also can't find a place that can put a chip in to up the power. I definitely want to do branches and a decent exhaust. I want to put on some struts and anti-roll/sway bars, so I don't fear tipping over anymore, I refuse to lower my car till the point I have to carry planks to get anywhere with any slight hill.
I have countless questions please help me out.

Re: I want to modify mi 1.4i citi
What model is your car? 272 cam and 1.4 agy motor makes some nice power. Try and drop the car 40mm all round with either springs or coil over setup, this isn’t too low where it is unbearable to drive and it increases the handling a lot and has a nice look to it. You can get bottom and top stabilising bars from fb market place. Put in a good branch and exhaust with the cam and it should be fine . Check who does uni chip in your area and install and tune that and you’re good to go.

Thank you for replying to me
All I know is it's a 1.4i 2005 Citi chico, are the 1.8's easy to come by and can the cams and branches go on them or are they completely different.
can I still use anti roll/sway bars on the standard suspension.
And another question, my gearbox doesn't want to go into 1st or 2nd from neutral easily anymore, why and how can I fix it, it has a gear lock mechanism if that helps, where I can leave it in Reverse and lock it, so it makes it more difficult to steal.
And where can I find 272 cams?
