Hi guys, I have a mk1 with a 2.0 8v mp9 setup. The car ran exceptionally well with the stock cam and 50mm exhaust and 45mm port matched branch. I have since changed the exhaust to a 57mm mandrel bent system with the same 45mm branch. I swopped out the stock cam for a VDL 276H cam. The car runs and sounds great but on startup the idle shoots to 2000rpm and hunts for a few seconds before resting just above 1000rpm. This only happened after removing the throttle body to clean. Anybody have had a similar experience?
I also would like to know if anyone here has tried a CPI polo cup file to their mp9 ECU and what was the outcome.

Re: 2.0 8v MP9
The Hunting Idle on MP9's is well documented, but
also, they don't like ""big"" cams as previous posts state on this forum.

Re: 2.0 8v MP9
I managed to solve the problem, turns out it needed a throttle adaptation. Car drives perfect now.
