VW Golf GTI 7.5 road noise

Hey Everyone,

What can I do to reduce road noise in my GTI?
Coming from driving sedans pretty much all my life I find the hatchback tends to have a lot of road noise coming from the back.

Will sound deadening material on the floor of the boot help?

Looking for tried and tested suggestions please.

What tyres (make and profile) are you currently running? In my experience that's usually the first culprit for excessive road noise

I replaced my tyres with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 - 235/35/19
