Using SPS to aquire ECU settings
Hey Guys,
For curiosities sake, i wanted to try get the current settings that are on the car.
So i start the SPS select software, plus the SPS into my pc via cable (switch set to "0" for communication), connect the SPS to my car, turn the ignition on, and click on "Acquire" under the ECU section.
The app then hangs for about 30seconds, and then returns the following error:
"ECU unrecognised, or not found."
Any idea why this would be??
TIA
Dex

Re: Using SPS to aquire ECU settings
You can download SPS program from http://www.revotechnik.com/sps/
Install on your PC.
Switch SPS to communicate with PC (cant remember which setting)
Plug into vehicle, and use USb to aquire...

You should be able to use this to see what settings are currently on your ECU.
Nah, no luck yet...

As usual anyothe thing that doesnt work on the 6R, sadly. Car is going great..really setting in now. I threw in a K&N filter..feels even better now on throttle response and late end torque. Also tested with some NF Ultra...wow what a awesome difference. Not in the hot temperatures though..my car hates hot days now that it has SW.

Re: Using SPS to aquire ECU settings
Must be a 6R thing - it works perfectly on my car. And i have the Audi white MFD, which is the one that is normally the most buggy and difficult to get to work with any external gadgets.
Maybe ask someone else to try their pc and sps to acquire it... Where in Jhb are you? If you're close, I can try for you.

Re: Using SPS to aquire ECU settings
hey guys,
Sorry for the late reply. I'm currently on leave until the 7th so hardly have had time to pop in to check the forum. The 6R GTI does haggle a bit when trying to acquire. We have a similar issue when using our SPPs to acquire. As long as your switching works, that's all that's important for now
