in my opinion keep your Polo stock, as said by EVERYONE else (some not so nicely as others 
)
This way you can have a cheap to maintain runaround and then buy yourself a citi golf or mk2 or something like that and spend any extra cash on that. I have a polo TDI as runaround and a mk2 16v golf which I throw any spare cash at, and if it sits in the garage for 5 months at a time its all good. (ok so its sat in the garage for 9 months now, but at least its on the road to being done)

I have a 1400 CLP 16V Turbo in an Audi A3 body . Making 149kw and 280nm easy on 0.8 bar boost . Its a daily my wife uses it .
Std they make 66kw and very little nm not even sure .
