Citi shurlok control box replacement

Post by braamsmit100 »

Hi everyone.

Im having a bad time trying to fix a problem on my 2007 citi golf. The black shurlok control box got water damage so my hazards stays on. I got a replacement and it sorted the problem but now the car wont start. I took it to ecu tech to clone the old unit to the new unit but no luck.
Any help or advice please

Same thing happened to me last month.
Once you swap out the control box, the new one needs to be paired to your ecu so the transponder recognises the new control box.
Wherever you are in S.A, take the ecu and control box to somebody who specialises in Ecu decoding, transponder etc.
The other option is to do an immob bypass on your ecu, then the car will start up one shot with the new control box, but with the obvious drawback being the transponder being null and void = Easier for the crooks to break in your car and bypass the ignition and drive off
If you're in control, you're not going fast enough!

Good evening,

I have a Golf Mk1 2007. Shurlock control box got water damage last year October (cluster, indicators and hazards didn't work) . Got it repaired.
I could find a new box (B box)

I have the same problem again.

Does anyone have a box or know where I can find one? Will the F box work on the 2007 Citi Golf 1.4.
