Morning
Have searched the forum.but did not find any relevant post or info on this specific issue.
I bought a 2005 Model 1.4 Citi for my son this oast weekend. The car presented very well inside and out, much better than most of the other offers on the table in the Gauteng area.
The vehicle has a 1.4 carb motor, which seems very weird as my research indicates that VW did not.produce carb models after 2000.
The car jerks withour reasob and when this happens the rev counter would either jump to 6000rpm or die completely.
It feels worse when the vehicle is warmed up.
I installed an electric fuel pumpas it feld like fuel starvation.
Had the carb overhauled
Installed a New coil
Installed new prug wires
Installed new ignition control unit
Installed new spark plugs
I would appreciate any help or.any recommendation of a workshop that cab solve this issue.
I am in the Midrand area.
