Golf 2lt 16V T project car boost controller

Post by Khany »

Hi Guys

Busy doing a project car with a 2E block, kr/9A head, and T3 0.48 turbine, T4 0.5 compressor wheel, and have an external wastegate. I’m looking to add a boost controller, and read in the forum that turbostatics was building electronic boost controllers, but I don’t know if those still exist.

Does anyone know of a decent electronic boost controller I could use, or should I opt for the manual boost controller? If the turbostatics controllers are still available? Are they expensive?

Thanks!

Bump…..

Also a bit more research, and I can find the MAC solenoid valve to control the reference pressures for the wastegate, and I also have dictator std. I saw on their wiring diagrams, there are two solenoid inputs, 1 for air to the top of the wastegate, 2 for the bottom of the wastegate. How would the disctator manage this? Is it 1 boost setting? Can boost setting be mapped? Also, is there a chance to add a POT in the cabin to allow boost to be change on the fly?

Thanks!

Apprently, the e-boost 2 is the one to go for.
I have the GFB one in my car and I can honestly say that I am not a huge fan.
My other car has a very expensive (and old) Apexi one in, and it is worlds apart from the cheap stuff.
