This car was recently purchased from a bmw dealership for the customers wife to daily drive .

The car was brought to me to replace the shocks, shock mounts , belt , engine mounts.











No wonder the belt is eating itself and not maintaining tension. BMW approved used quality checks huh.


New belt fitted , now the tensioner is working as it should with the correct belt on there.

Car was fitted with a damaged exhaust clamp that needed to be replaced . It was not clamping the dP to the exhaust flange .

A day or so later, I get a call in the evening, the car is asking for coolant and the customer is at a garage , can they come and drop it off for me to check. So During the night the car is delivered to me and next morning we start.



This hairline crack was the cause of the water leak.


New vs old part. Looks like a design flaw causing the crack.


New pipe fitted


Removed the coolant bottle for replacement as the level indicator was broken and customer wanted it replaced.




Flushed and bled cooling system with Distilled water and coolant




Old power steering fluid is old and burnt, time to flush and bleed with new fluid

Replaced the oring on the cap




All done and ready for collection
