AbsoluCarCare : BMW F10 M5 Detailed

Post by N3mo »

Had the pleasure of detailing a BMW F10 M5. Car was purchased a couple of months ago and owner did mention that he will be sending the car in for detail when the paint start to take a bit of a beating. After super glue was dropped on the bumper and he drove over a paint can, he decided it was time and we booked in it immediately to get the paint sorted out.

The front bumper had been painted so as expected the body shop polished the whole car leaving buffer trails all over. There was a fair amount of swirls on the car as well a couple of eyesore stone chips that needed to be filled up. The was a bit of tar on the car but nothing major. The owner did get the BMW touch up paint so that we had no issues trying to match a color. There were a fair amount of brake dust on the wheels from the huge brakes as well as some tyre staining from the silicone used previously. The interior and engine bay was in good condition with a cleanup and protection that was all that was needed.

We had the car for two days and were given free range to do what we want. We filled up the stone chips and sanded them down and then opted for a two stage correction followed by pre wax cleanse then topped with two coats of premium wax for protection. The exhausts and backbox were given a thorough cleanup. The engine bay was given a wipe down, metal piping were polished the all plastics were protected. The Interior plastics were given a wipe down which also left a UV protection behind, all leather inside were cleaned then conditioned.

The owner was more than pleased with outcome and so was. The cherry on top was that i got to take it for a drive and all i can say is that its brutal and total insanity...

Owner handed me the keys after the Detail to take it for a joy ride..

It's insane, acceleration is brutal. Traction control kicks in going into 4 th gear.

On a roll when you put your foot down, it will drop to 4 th and traction kicks in.

This Car is another level of fast, nothing I've ever Driven or sat in accelerates like this..
